MLB Veteran Brett Anderson Has Hilarious Response to Players Declaring 'War' on Owners
By Nick Porr
Without any actual baseball to be played, MLB fans are stuck waiting for any positive updates about a potential 2020 season. Recently, news has been circulating that the MLB is very close to finalizing a July start date, but that might've hit a roadblock, as the owners are reportedly considering further salary reductions for players.
The MLB Player's Association is prepared to go to "war" with owners if this is the case. Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Brett Anderson had a hysterical response to this rumor on Twitter.
We'd prefer this to any sort of labor war.
Anderson is, of course, referencing 'Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.'
In the film, a disagreement between rival news networks devolves into an intense battle, which includes a trident being thrown by Steve Carell's character.
Anderson may think the headline is being dramatized by referencing the comedy film's hyper-violent fight scene. Even if that's the case, we sure hope labor negotiations are solved far more peacefully, and long before the end of the current CBA.
