New York Yankees veteran left-hander CC Sabathia is in the midst of his 19th and final MLB season, and even though he didn't earn a spot on the All-Star team, MLB commissioner Rob Manfred has invited Sabathia to Cleveland to be honored during the festivities.

Sabathia was drafted in the first round and spent his first eight MLB seasons in Cleveland with the Indians.

While he's not pitching at an All-Star caliber level, Sabathia is holding his own this year and owns a 5-4 record with a 4.04 ERA over his 13 starts. While he won't be playing, Sabathia will join four other Yankees (DJ LeMahieu, Gary Sanchez, Gleyber Torres and Aroldis Chapman) heading to the All-Star Game.

During his tenure in Cleveland, Sabathia was a four-time All-Star and was named the AL Cy Young Award winner in 2007. In 237 career starts with the Indians, Sabathia posted a 106-71 record with a 3.83 ERA and had 1,265 strikeouts over 1,528 innings.
