With the absence of live sports, many networks are looking to the archives for footage to fill the void. Major League Baseball and the MLB Network are no exception.

On Tuesday, the Network plans to celebrate some iconic postseason performances. Nothing wrong with that.

Unfortunately, the Detroit Tigers find themselves on the wrong end of today's showings. Like, all of them.

First at 11 am ET and again at 10:30 pm ET, because once is not enough, Game 4 of the 2006 World Series takes to the air. The St. Louis Cardinals drove home a run in the bottom of the eighth to take down the Tigers, and would bring home a trophy in the ensuing Game 5. Rough, error-filled series for Detroit. But at least Motown will enjoy the nex--oh, right.

Next up, Game 4 of the 2012 World Series. In the closest game of the series, the Giants pulled off the victory with a single in the top of the 10th. It was the culmination of a four-game sweep of the Tigers by the San Francisco Giants to earn a championship of their own.

Then, they'll be showing Game 2 of the 2013 ALCS. Probably the worst game in recent Tigers history? David Ortiz's grand slam in the eighth and Jarrod Saltalamacchia's walk-off ruined their potential path to the World Series. Three of these in a row? And the theme is "Unlikely Heroes," not "Detroit Destruction"? Got it.

Perhaps Tigers fans would rather watch the highlight below. They deserve it today.

While it is understandable that the MLB Network wants to find some terrific games to play on air during the hiatus, the Tigers happen to be the punching bag for all of today's showings. At least the local network is showing some love to the storied history of its hometown team.
