MLB Reportedly Not Investigating Yankees at All After Red Sox and Astros Turmoil

Major League Baseball has been prominent in the news for all the wrong reasons. On Monday, the league handed down a massive punishment to the Houston Astros for their role in using technology to steal signs and will begin investigating the Boston Red Sox.

The New York Yankees were already winners earlier in the week, but now have more reason to exhale.

According to Andy Martino of SNY, the league won't investigate the Yankees after an old video of now-fired Red Sox manager Alex Cora seemingly alluding to the possibility that now-New York Mets manager Carlos Beltran helped the Bombers steal signs when he was with the organization in 2019.

This stems from a report from "The Athletic" on Tuesday stating the league would investigate both the Red Sox and Yankees for using a replay room to decode pitching signals. Boston allegedly began doing so in 2018, while claims accused the Yankees of using the same tactics in 2015.

Back in 2018, then-assistant Astros general manager Brandon Taubman confronted a Yankees employee for operating a camera in center field. However, the camera operation had nothing to do with stealing signs. Rather, the Yankees obtained approval by MLB to test out a high-speed camera.

So it looks like Astros and Red Sox fans are out of luck because unless there's evidence brought forth against the Yankees, the MLB is reportedly not going to investigate them.
