MLB Getting Roasted for Dumb Tweet Comparing Barry Bonds and Cody Bellinger Home Run Derby Chances
By Michael Luciano

MLB's twitter account creating the "What If Derby" to determine who would win a hypothetical home run derby between the game's greatest sluggers.
One EXTREMELY lopsided matchup featured San Francisco Giants home run king Barry Bonds against Los Angeles Dodgers MVP Cody Bellinger. Unsurprisingly, MLB ended up on the wrong end of a roasting for comparing the two and trying to make this an even competition.

So, let's look at out two candidates. In one corner, we've got a guy who has 762 home runs, seven MVPs, statistically dominant seasons that would look out of place in MLB The Show rookie mode, and the unofficial title of most dominant player of the late 90s and early 2000s.
Pre or post 1998 Barry?

Not that it matters, I just want to know just HOW badly Barry beats him.
In the other, we have...Cody Bellinger.
This has to be a joke

Even more astounding, in the poll that decided the winner of this lopsided mano-a-mano duel, Bellinger took home 15 percent of the vote! His parents must have voted a LOT of times in that poll.
15 percent voted Bellinger! Are they all burner accounts? https://t.co/BAB2G6uNHA

This competition will pose some interesting matchups in the later rounds, but Bonds against Bellinger is the dictionary definition of a 1 seed taking on a 16 seed.
