MLB Writer Bob Nightengale Made Ridiculous 'Cubs' Typo and Got Ripped on Twitter Yet Again

Longtime MLB writer Bob Nightengale still hasn't figured out this whole Twitter thing, as his legendary dumb typos have become almost as famous has his columns. Nightengale's thick thumbs failed him once again late Thursday, as his musing about the disappointing Chicago Cubs was one letter away from a word that we're not allowed to print.

He even hashtagged it!

Naturally, Twitter didn't hold back on Nightengale's goof, with some even offering their services as a branding expect to design a "Chicago Cuns" logo.

Two seconds of proofreading, and this is avoided totally. Nightengale has to see this coming.

Keep it PG, sir.

At least he didn't put the T into that typo.

He might have gotten a call from the higher-ups at USA Today if that happened.

Some fans even managed to somehow tie in a song from the movie Mulan. The largest of Ws go out to everyone involved in this thread.

A lesson for everyone, but Nightengale in particular: ALWAYS look over a tweet before sending it out.
