Moe Wagner's Brother Franz Officially Coming to Michigan to Play for Juwan Howard
By Brian Cass
When former Michigan Fab Five star Juwan Howard came on board as the school's new men's basketball coach, the implications on the recruiting end were profound. After Howard lured Cole Bajema to join the new-look Wolverines, the coach was still in need of another solid recruit to help solidify his first clas.
And it looks like he found it, as he announced that Franz Wagner, brother of former UM All-Big Ten forward Moritz Wagner, has signed a financial aid tender that makes him an official Michigan man.
He and Bajema will now headline this year's freshman class for the Maize and Blue. This may not be as loaded as the class Howard famously came in with nearly 30 years ago,, but it's a solid start as he tries to take the torch from John Beilein and forge a new way forward in Ann Arbor.
This past year, Franz played on a dual contract for German clubs Alba Berlin and SSV Lokomotive Bernau, and he's also set to play for Germany in the upcoming 2019 U18 European Championship before heading to Michigan.
We can't wait to see what Juwan Howard does as the head coach of his alma mater, and these two freshman should certainly help him get off on the right foot.
