The Los Angeles Angels not only have the best offensive presence in baseball in Mike Trout, but they have the best defensive star in the game at shortstop in Andrelton Simmons, too. The former Atlanta Braves star's ability to cover tons of ground and his howitzer of an arm that would make Patrick Mahomes blush put him in a category all his own among infielders on defense. Simmons might only be average at the plate, but you could make a very strong case that he is the best defensive middle infielder we've seen since Ozzie Smith retired.

Simmons has recorded at least 1.8 dWAR in every season he's played, and he's done it with a flair for the dramatic and the spectacular equalled by few across all of baseball.

When baseball resumes in 2020, expect Simmons to pick up his fifth Gold Glove and prove no one is better in the field than him.
