Mookie Betts, Los Angeles Dodger and current Good Guy Award winner, grew up in Nashville, TN, and it seems he's happy to give back to the community as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to put stress on the country.

Stuck in his hometown while the country hunkers down, Betts did what he does best -- he surprised a Kroger full of grocery shoppers in his hometown by paying everyone's bill.

Following the tornado that struck in March, Nashville has struggled to get back on its feet, issues exacerbated by the state of the world at large. Betts took it upon himself and decided he wanted to help, and he went as far as to show up in person with a mask on to perform the act of kindness.

Betts also went out of his way to thank the staff of the Kroger, and he treated all of the employees to pizza.

Betts has a history of generosity. He was seen passing out food to the homeless in 2018 without ever wanting credit for his secretive actions, and in 2015, he and catcher Blake Swihart were spotted giving food to a homeless man together. He credited the act as giving him good karma that led to a pair of home runs against the Yankees.

Hopefully, Betts' latest act should earn him some more karma.
