Most Insane NBA Rumor Ever Suggests Lakers Hired Jason Kidd to Help Recruit Giannis in 2 Years
By Michael Luciano

The consensus response around the Los Angeles Lakers spurning Ty Lue for Frank Vogel as their head coach and Jason Kidd as an assistant was "really?"
However, one completely bonkers rumor surrounding this hire makes it seem like the Lakers really are trying to play three-dimensional chess. Given the fact that Giannis Antetokounmpo is a free agent in two years and that Kidd has experience coaching him in Milwaukee, some believe the Lakers made this assistant coaching decision in to attempt convince the Greek Freak to come to LA.
There is speculation that Jason Kidd was brought to LA in an attempt to attract Giannis to the Lakers when he becomes a free agent in 2 Years, per @Newsday.

Wow. It's astounding how little sense it makes, not to mention that it's arrogant and presumptuous.
In Milwaukee, Giannis is poised to rule the East for at least a decade, and can do so free of the distactions that come with a major media market. He has already said previously that he wants to play out his career in Milwaukee, and the dysfunction at the top of the Lakers organization doesn't have them positioned as ace recruiters. The big man is only goin to LA in your NBA 2K franchise mode.
These are the same Lakers that thought they had Paul George gift-wrapped for them, but couldn't convince him to leave Oklahoma City the deal. We're supposed to believe they're landing the Greek Freak? No way.
LMAO LAKERS THINK THEY GETTING EVERYBODY

Despite the fact that LeBron James and Giannis would break the league and be as fun to watch as any team has probably ever been, this scenario is the dictionary definition of wishful thinking on the part of the Lakers.
