Multiple Dolphins Reportedly Exploring Trade Demands After Week 1 as 'Mutiny' Begins
By Scott Rogust
The Miami Dolphins entered the 2019 season with low expectations, based off their roster moves in both the offseason and preseason. Those expectations were met in full in the form of a 59-10 drubbing by the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
And now, there are consequences of such a loss.
According to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk, multiple Dolphins players have contacted their agents in order to find a trade off the team...already.
Florio elaborated further, saying those players weren't buying what head coach Brian Flores is selling, knowing there isn't a skeleton of a competitive football team here. On top of that, said players believe the team is looking to lose now, in order to accumulate high draft picks in the very near future.
The Dolphins told ProFootballTalk they have not heard from any agents or received any trade request.
Let's not forget that reports this preseason indicated the locker room would revolt if the Dolphins traded star left tackle Laremy Tunsil. On NFL cutdown weekend, the team traded Tunsil and wide receiver Kenny Stills to the Houston Texans for an accumulation of high draft picks in 2020 and 2021.
The Miami Dolphins look to be in full tank mode, which may be accepted by the front office. But some players on the team likely don't agree with the method, and it will remain to be seen how this transpires throughout the season. Who's the next to go?
