The San Diego State Aztecs look like the obvious favorites to win the Mountain West. At 28-1 (17-1 MWC), they are using this tournament more so as a means to earn a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. However, you can't completely bank on them, as they lost to UNLV on Feb. 22, and in the past five years, the Mountain West Tournament has only been won by its top seed one time.

If you're looking for other teams to try to snatch that championship out of the Aztecs' hands, look to Utah State, Nevada, or UNLV. Utah State and Nevada dominated the conference together last season, both finding themselves in the Top 25 at various points. While Utah State claimed the No. 2 seed in the Mountain West this year with a 23-8 (12-6) record, Nevada and UNLV had similar conference records and won't be easy outs.
