Myles Garrett is Actually Appealing His Suspension From the NFL
By Michael Luciano

Cleveland Browns pass rusher Myles Garrett went full Lyle Alzado on Thursday Night against the Pittsburgh Steelers, as he ripped the helmet off of Mason Rudolph and struck the second-year quarterback with it.
Garrett, who has 10.0 sacks this season and was in the conversation for Defensive Player of the Year, plans to appeal the indefinite suspension he was given, hoping for a reduction and a finite number of games.
As #Browns DE Myles Garrett gets set to appeal his lengthy suspension, one source said an argument will be that the CBA does not allow for indefinite suspensions for on-field acts. Garrett will hope for a finite number, as well as a reduction.

Garrett will miss at least the remainder of the regular season and postseason, and will need to meet with Roger Goodell before he can be reinstated.
While Derrick Brooks and James Thrash, the two former players who usually oversee appeals, have shown a tendency to at least reduce some typically harsh punishments (Vontaze Burfict can attest to this from his time in Cincinnati), Garrett probably has even less wiggle room.
If he managed to hit Rudolph, who just came out of the concussion protocol, with the crown of his helmet, we're talking about aggravated assault.
Alrighty then. 50 games.

Even with a reduction, the stink of this action is going to hover over Garrett, potentially for his entire career. The best thing he can do is show how apologetic he truly is.
