N'Keal Harry Ready to Provide Major Boost to Patriots Passing Game at Critical Time
By Mark Powell
Despite noticeable injury woes on the offensive side of the ball, the New England Patriots are expected to receive a major boost this coming week as the prepare for the Jets next Sunday.
First-round pick N'Keal Harry is expected to come off injured reserve at a vital time, as the Patriots are dealing with injuries to the likes of Phillip Dorsett and Josh Gordon, who suffered a scary-looking lower body ailment just last Thursday.
Harry, while inexperienced, does bring some explosiveness with him.
Harry had been dealing with an ankle issue, but appears to be close to full-strength at the ideal time for New England. At Arizona State, Harry finished his three-year stint with 2,889 yards and 22 touchdowns.
“Mentally, he's been able to keep up with everything. It's just physically, he needs to be able to show that he can go out there and participate competitively at the practice level we're at," Belichick said of Harry's status on Monday.
New England has the benefit of time, as there's no real reason to rush Harry back even with their struggling passing game given their Week 7 opponent and current status alone atop the AFC East.
