During the GEICO 500 event on Sunday, NASCAR revealed that a member of Bubba Wallace's crew found a noose hanging his garage stall. After NASCAR's official statement, support began pouring in for Wallace, the organization's lone African American driver. Prior to the resumption of the race on Monday, every driver and their crew members marched behind Wallace's No. 43 car in a sign of solidarity.

A truly beautiful sight to behold. Drivers pushed Wallace's car to the front of the grid, and hugged their colleague one by one.

Following the death of George Floyd, Wallace has been an outspoken advocate for the nationwide protests to bring an end to police brutality and systemic racism. Wallace sported a "I Can't Breathe" shirt before an event, and repainted his stock car with the phrase "Black Lives Matter." Additionally, Wallace asked NASCAR to ban the Confederate flag from races, which the organization quickly obliged.

NASCAR, the FBI, and the Department of Justice are currently investigating the incident with the hopes of finding the reprehensible human being to perform such an act of racism. Despite that, this sign of unity proves that there is humanity in the world, and Wallace can take solace in the fact that his fellow stock car drivers have his back in his fight to end racial inequality.
