Nationals Fan Looks Absolutely Devastated After Yasmani Grandal Cranks 2-Run Shot off Max Scherzer
By Chris Pyo
It's that beautiful time of the MLB season where hearts will be ripped apart and seasons will come to an end. Welcome to October.
Washington Nationals fans are already experiencing the highs and lows that come with playoff baseball, as evidenced by this particular fan after watching Milwaukee Brewers catcher Yasmani Grandal hit a two-run home run off Max Scherzer in the first inning of the NL Wild Card game.
It's only a 2-0 game, but this fan looks like his soul has already legitimately abandoned his body. Maybe he doesn't believe that it was humanly possible for Max Scherzer to give up a home run to the second batter in such an important game.
It's worth watching the video of the home run itself. Just listen to how muted the stadium instantly becomes right after Grandal mashes that pitch. The audible groans from the crowd make it all the better.
There truly is nothing better than high-stakes playoffs baseball. To every fan whose team has made it to this point, enjoy the ride.
