Nationals vs Phillies MLB Live Stream Reddit for Friday's Game
By Parker White
The Washington Nationals (47-42) will begin the second half of their season against the division rival Philadelphia Phillies (47-43). If the season ended today, both teams would make the playoffs via the Wild Card. However, this is a key series for both squads, as there's only a half game difference between them.
How to Live Stream the Game
First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. ET at Citizens Bank Park. The game will be televised locally on MASN and NBC Sports Philadelphia, and you can live stream the game via a link on the MLB Streams subreddit.
Nationals Lineup
Washington is rolling out the regulars tonight, with Trea Turner, Adam Eaton and Anthony Rendon at the top of the lineup, with Juan Soto hitting cleanup. Ryan Zimmerman is back in the fold and will start at first base and bat fifth. Zimm has missed most of the season, and in five games since he's return he's hitting .333 (7-for-21) with three doubles and two RBI.
Stephen Strasburg will toe the mound for Washington tonight, and in his last start before the break against Miami he tossed 7.1 shutout innings with a whopping 14 strikeouts.
Phillies Lineup
Despite struggling towards the end of the first half, Phillies manager Gabe Kapler is running out a similar starting lineup, with Scott Kingery remaining in the lead off spot with Jean Segura and Bryce Harper rounding out the top third of the lineup. The only major omission is catcher J.T. Realmuto, who was placed on paternity leave today. Backup catcher Andrew Knapp will start behind the plate and bat eighth.
Right-hander Nick Pivetta will start tonight for Philadelphia, who in 11 starts this season owns a 4-3 record with a 5.84 ERA. His last start came against the Atlanta Braves and he allowed 5 runs on 5 hits over 5.2 innings.
