Nats Fan Wears Perfect Modified Bryce Harper Jersey at NLCS Game 3
By Mark Powell
Bryce Harper might want to sit this one out.
Harper's Phillies failed to make the postseason after the former Washington Nationals star left DC for an in-division foe, only to watch his previous team go on a historic run to notch a Wild Card spot. Now, the Nats sit just one win away from a trip to the World Series, closer to the pennant than they ever got with Harper on the roster.
Safe to say Bryce must be feeling some type of way about Washington's current run, and it's not good!
Yeah, rather than aiming expletives at their former franchise star, this Nationals fan trolled Harper with a little healthy, family-approved fun. It's astonishing what one can accomplish with a little tape and a sharpie.
Harper is left to sob with his millions in his native Las Vegas, a coping mechanism most of us can only dream of.
As inconvenient as it may be for Harper, getting rid of their $300 million star was necessary for this Nationals team, which is far deeper than at any point in Bryce's tenure, specifically in their pitching staff. The addition of Patrick Corbin and emergence of Juan Soto combined with an MVP campaign from Anthony Rendon make this Nats team special, and assure Harper will have a tough time overcoming them in the division anytime soon.
