NBA Draft Twitter Account Bizarrely Photoshops RJ Barrett's Earrings Off His Head for No Reason
Coverage of the NBA's next generation of stars has been through the roof, as Thursday's NBA Draft is finally here. And the official NBA Draft Twitter account decided to celebrate the occasion by... photoshopping the earrings right off RJ Barrett's head?
The account thought it was necessary to remove Barrett's earrings from his ears for whatever reason. And at closer glance, it's really, really weird.
As you can see, Barrett's earlobes appear to be missing entirely. You can clearly see the background of the image through the holes where the jewelry used to be.
We can only imagine why the account felt the need to erase his earrings, but Barrett shouldn't worry either way. The skilled wing averaged 22.6 points and 7.6 rebounds per game in his only season at Duke, and could grow into an able NBA scorer under the bright lights at Madison Square Garden.
Barrett ended up being the third overall pick for the Knicks, so he has more things to worry about than disappearing earlobes. But that doesn't make this situation any less strange.
