NBA Reporters Are Tracking Airplanes and #KawhiWatch Has Officially Gotten Out of Hand
By Michael Luciano
Can we just let this man go about his day?
The wait for Kawhi Leonard to decide on either the Raptors, Lakers, or Clippers is dragging on a bit, but the race to be the first to break the news is reaching absurd levels. Respected reporters like Mark Stein have turned into amateur aviation experts, tracking down planes that departed from Toronto and landed in Southern California.
For a guy in Leonard who is almost absurdly quiet and detests social media, I'm sure he wants his exact travel plans and location broadcasted to the world in the megaphone that is Twitter.
The message from Kawhi's camp from the beginning was that they are going to take their time. Given that this is a life and career-defining move, that diligence makes total sense. Can we lay off tracking his individual movements? It's creepy.
Board Man isn't going to go into the season a free agent, so a decision is coming soon. While this is hard in the instant gratification age of Twitter, just be patient and lead Board Man decided where he'll get paid.
