NBA Teams Will Be Forced to Submit Precise Height and Age for Every Player on Roster
There's always been speculation about certain NBA players and whether or not they're telling the truth about their listed height.
Some guys have been accused of adding a couple inches to boost their stature, while others might be taller than what they're officially listed as.
Well, all of that misinformation is about to vanish. According to Marc Stein, teams will have to report the exact height and age of the players on their roster once training camp begins.
The new height measurements will be taken without shoes on, but weight will not be taken considering its continual fluctuation.
While the notion of inaccurate height measurements has been frequently discussed in the league, verification of age is certainly an interesting addition. There's been some controversy into specific players, such as Thon Maker and possibly even Manute Bol, regarding what their true age is, as in some cases it's difficult to track down the accurate information.
Perhaps the most intriguing information to come from the new measurements will be the height of Kevin Durant. His true height has constantly been debated, as while he lists himself at 6-9, it's pretty obvious he's far taller than that, with some suggesting he could even eclipse 7 feet.
