The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made the splash of the offseason when they convinced former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady to swap eastern Massachusetts for central Florida, but Jason Licht isn't done improving this team just yet.

Tampa Bay agreed to terms with star defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh on a one-year contract worth around $8 million.

Following a dominant college career at Nebraska, Suh was selected second overall in the 2010 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions. Suh has made five Pro Bowls and has been named First Team All-Pro three times during his days in Detroit, as well as stops in Miami, Los Angeles, and Tampa. Suh had 41 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and two touchdowns last year.

Defensive coordinator Todd Bowles' zone blitz defense requires consistent pressure from the interior in order to function as he envisions, and a veteran pass rusher like the 33-year-old Suh that is still one of the best run stuffers and most feared players in the league returning to that defensive line is a massive win for Bruce Arians and his squad.

Suh may not be the young buck that he was during his Lions days, but he has proven that he can still be a truly terrifying interior pass rusher. Tampa appears to have their offense figured out, and Bowles' defense is finally starting to take shape.
