VIDEO: Nelson Agholor Denies Having Burner Account After Eagles Practice
By Scott Rogust
The Philadelphia Eagles aren't having the best of days following their loss to the New England Patriots. Following the defeat that dropped them to a humble 5-5 on the season, speculation arose that a Twitter account defending wide receiver Nelson Agholor was actually a burner from Agholor himself. After practice on Thursday, Agholor held court with the media to vehemently deny that he is the one responsible for the account and asked reporters to tweet out that it's definitely not him.
Agholor has dealt with enough pressure this season due to the numerous drops he's accumulated. We're sure the last thing he wants to talk about is a social media burner.
A quick look at this Twitter account reveals that a majority of the posts defend Agholor directly. The mystery user has also disparaged quarterback Carson Wentz while praising former signal-caller Nick Foles. On top of that, the account called for the firing of current offensive coordinator Mike Groh.
As of this writing, the account has deleted all tweets, further adding to the mystery. Either way, Nelson Agholor wants to move on from this nonsense, as does every Philadelphia sports fan who is tired of the words "burner account."
