Nets Reportedly Confident Kevin Durant Will Announce Intention to Sign With Them Sunday Night
By Mark Powell

Just hours ahead of Kevin Durant's expected free agency announcement, one team believes they have a commanding lead in the sweepstakes.
After reportedly reaching an agreement superstar point guard Kyrie Irving already, the Brooklyn Nets are confident Durant will soon follow. KD and Irving are known to be friends, and have reportedly discussed the potential of playing together in the past.
With Irving apparently in tow, could a new dynamic duo be forming in New York just across the East River from Manhattan?
An undeniable vibe of confidence is emanating from Brooklyn as we speak: The Nets sure seem to believe they are getting Kevin Durant's commitment tonight to go with Kyrie Irving"s ... with DeAndre Jordan, Durant's close friend, to follow

The Nets flashed plenty of potential last season, taking a significant step forward, with first-time All-Star D'Angelo Russell and breakout wing Caris Levert leading them to the postseason. Despite the expectation that Russell moves elsewhere due to Irving's reported arrival, the Nets are still in prime position to compete in a wide open Eastern Conference.
Add Durant into that mix come 2020, and Brooklyn can and will be a favorite to hold the Larry O'Brien trophy.

Thrown into the mix as well is the possibility of DeAndre Jordan, who played with the rival Knicks just last season, joining KD and Irving in BK. Talk about a betrayal of epic proportions for Knicks fans.
Of course, this is all speculation for now. However, New York basketball fans have another thing to be nervous or excited about, depending on which side of the river they lie.
