New Details Emerge About Former Seahawks QB Tarvaris Jackson's Tragic Car Accident
By Jerry Trotta

The NFL community was left heartbroken on April 13 when it was confirmed that former veteran quarterback Tarvaris Jackson died in a car accident in his native Alabama.
Now, almost two weeks later, TMZ has obtained details of the crash, and they are disturbing to say the least. Per reports, Jackson lost control of his vehicle while driving approximately 40 MPH over the speed limit -- allegedly 70 MPH in a 30 MPH area. The car collided with a signpost and subsequently plunged into a nearby ditch.

The police report claims that the road Jackson was driving on at the time of the crash was poorly lit (though that was the normal circumstance) and that the former Seattle Seahawk and Minnesota Viking lost control of his vehicle while making a sharp turn around a bend.
Jackson was reportedly wearing his seatbelt and officials say his fate came down to the rate at which he was speeding. The crash was unrelated to drugs or alcohol.

These details, as relevant as they are, bring hardly any closure to this tragedy. In fact, they somehow make it even more unspeakable. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with Jackson's family during this impossibly difficult time.
