Saints Are Forcibly Liberating Season Tickets From Evil Scalpers and Every NFL Team Should Do This
By Andrew Gullotta
Not only are the Saints winning on the field, but their fans have recently earned a huge win in the stands.
Per Nick Underhill, the team's ticket representatives are now working to identify season ticket holders that are selling their seats to every game just to make a profit, then revoking their access. By doing this, the Saints are giving more opportunities to the long list of fans that are on the season ticket waiting list to experience the games first-hand
With football games becoming more and more expensive, the Saints are doing the right thing in trying to eliminate the ticket holders that just want raise the price for fans buying single-game admissions. By getting rid of these buyers, affordable season tickets can be offered to a wider range of consumers. It'll also be easier to weed out gouging on the open market.
This move isn't surprising for the Saints, as they ranked No. 1 in fan game day satisfaction three years in a row, and take pride in giving their loyal fans the best experiences possible. The Saints also ranked No. 1 in fan mobile ticketing experience, according to NFL fan surveys.
The more franchises that can do this (while earning positive press in the process), the better. We love the idea that more fans getting to experience their favorite team in person in a true win-win for all parties.
