New Steelers Starter Devlin Hodges Actually Went Duck Hunting With WR James Washington
By Adam Weinrib
Good morning to exclusively Duck Hodges and his new favorite target James Washington.
After Mike Tomlin made things official and installed everyone's favorite folk hero and world champion duck caller Devlin Hodges as the team's starter (for Week 13, at least), the new QB one-upped the announcement by displaying proof he was already bonding with Washington.
Though the wideout went to Oklahoma State with Mason Rudolph, he appears to be Team Duck these days.
And yes, Steelers Nation was rightfully excited about this holiday week bonding exercise.
While Hodges and Washington hunt, Rudolph is nursing his burn.
With the Browns on deck for Pittsburgh, the Steelers will have a chance to avenge the fateful eight seconds that took place at the end of their most recent meeting, when Myles Garrett chose to redefine the narrative surrounding both teams.
Neither Garrett nor Mason Rudolph will be there for the first snap of this one, though. Instead, it's Hodges and Washington's chance to shred the 'Land's secondary. Like shooting ducks in a barrel.
