New York Media Member Shades Clint Frazier After Mike Tauchman Gets London Trip Over Him
By Scott Rogust

After being sent down following the acquisition of Edwin Encarnacion, many thought that Clint Frazier would find his way back onto the New York Yankees roster due to Giancarlo Stanton taking yet another trip to the injured list.
That was not to be, as fellow outfielder Mike Tauchman got the nod for this weekend's London Series against the Boston Red Sox.
After news broke, Anthony Reiber of Newsday threw some slight shade at Frazier, hinting at the young outfielder taking nearly three days to report to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Maybe don’t take 72 hours to report next time. We all have bosses.

In his recent publication for Newsday, Rieber stresses that it's within a player's right to take the full 72 hours to report to the minor leagues. Rieber also points out that once Tauchman was sent down, he reported immediately, and coincidentally got the nod over Frazier to compete in London.
Backtrack to over a month ago, Frazier committed three fielding errors against the Boston Red sox and opted against speaking with the media after the game. The very next day, Frazier expressed his belief that the New York media treats him unfairly.
Yeah, Clint Frazier was definitely on to something when he said he gets treated unfairly by the New York media. https://t.co/gCb73qqBrF

Regardless of the media beef, Frazier has been the subject of trade talks ever since he was demoted to Triple-A over a week ago. The Yankees are looking for a strong pitcher with years of contract control to aid their postseason surge, and Frazier is one of their more lucrative pieces to offer to opposing clubs.
It looked as though those plans came to a screeching halt after Giancarlo Stanton's latest injury, but with Tauchman getting the call, who knows what the future holds for Frazier.
