New York Post Destroys Brian Cashman With Devastating Cover After Brutal Yankees Trade Deadline
By Adam Weinrib

The Yankees entered the trade deadline in first place in the American League East, clear by nine games in the loss column.
That doesn't tell even a portion of a quintessence of the whole story, though.
With the 26th-best starters ERA in baseball, and poised to face a monster of a Houston rotation at some point on their desired path to a World Series, one or two major pitching upgrades seemed necessary.
Instead? The Astros got better, adding Zack Greinke to their fearsome duo, and the Yankees did absolutely nothing. And DON'T think the Post let GM Brian Cashman off scot free.

Woof. If Kathy Griffin made this photoshop, she'd be placed on the no-fly list. Did...did he get shot in the head?
Also, laugh out loud that the Yankees winning a dramatic game was relegated to...the tiny banner at the bottom.
Cash was better off saying nothing. The #Yankees front office failed the team and the fanbase. I didn't want 1980s George but I didn't want 1960s CBS either. Grade: F https://t.co/zF24B4join

New York's Steinbrenner clan, utterly obsessed with making money over taking on salary, better hope Yankee Stadium continues to be a cash cow in the second half and doesn't morph into a barren wasteland.
Otherwise, this whole, magical first half will have been for naught. What's the point of racing into first place, anyway, if it doesn't bring you an attendance bump and more patrons for chicken buckets and Black Tap milkshakes? For shame.
