No matter what side of the country, or even the globe, you reside on, the loss of Kobe Bryant was felt by everyone. Following Sunday's shocking tragedy, people across the country were showing their respect to the Lakers legend.
Those in New York chose to pay tribute to the late NBA superstar with a touching gesture, altering the name of the famous 42nd-St. Bryant Park station to be called "Kobe Bryant Park."

Bryant had some of his most iconic moments in New York while playing against the Knicks at Madison Square Garden and his work ethic and "Mamba Mentality" earned him the respect of the entire city.
His untimely death shocked the country, and New York's tribute is just one of many popping up within basketball-loving communities across the nation.
