NFL Fines QB Mason Rudolph $50K for Role in Steelers-Browns Fight
By Evan Wolff

Disciplinary action is still being handed out for the Steelers-Browns melee on Thursday Night Football.
Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph was handed a $50,000 fine on Saturday for his role in the brawl that infamously led to the signal caller getting struck with his own helmet by Browns DE Myles Garrett. Rudolph apologized earlier in the week and acknowledged his part in escalating the situation.

While it seems to be a relatively small fine in comparison to what other players received as punishment, keep in mind that Rudolph is on his rookie contract and doesn't make nearly the amount of money as other established veterans.
In fact, this fine will actually cost Rudolph just under two game checks.

Even though the game is now well over a week old, there doesn't seem to be a clear end in sight for when the NFL will end handing out fines to punish players for unsportsmanlike behavior after coming off the bench to join the brawl. Adam Schefter noted earlier this week that he expects about 10 additional players to be fined for joining in.

All in all, the NFL will want to move on from this as quickly as it can, and hopefully the discipline handed out will deter players from ever acting in this manner again.
