NFL Has Yet to Interview Antonio Brown Over Sexual Assault Allegations
By Jerry Trotta
If you held any doubt that the NFL wasn't going to take their time investigating the rape and sexual assault allegations against Antonio Brown, then this news will surely do the trick.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported on Tuesday that the league has not yet interviewed the embattled wideout in relation to the investigation.
Had Brown been presently signed to a team, the seven-time Pro-Bowler would obviously need to cooperate with authorities, but, given his free agent status, it remains to be seen how reciprocal he intends to be.
We understand that Brown's accuser, Britney Taylor, met with NFL officials for roughly 10 hours about two weeks ago, though it wasn't publicized what progress, if any (or in what direction), occurred from the discussion.
The only thing hindering this daunting narrative from sorting itself out, is the Central Michigan Product actually meeting with the league. At this time, it's almost impossible to predict when that encounter will take place.
Until then, updates surrounding the investigation will likely remain behind closed door, but it would certainly behoove Brown to be as cooperative as possible, if his intentions to return to the NFL are actually authentic.
