VIDEO: NFL Network's Jane Slater Connects Amari Cooper to Eagles
By Brendan Balsamo
With the Dallas Cowboys hoping to bring back Amari Cooper and re-sign Dak Prescott, Jerry Jones is getting ready to spend BIG this offseason. Will he be able to work his magic and get both to return next season? When thinking of where Cooper could end up if he were to sign elsewhere, one team always comes up: the Philadelphia Eagles. This time, NFL Network's Jane Slater made her case why the two sides would be a great fit.
She references how Cooper is used to an offense with two top options, as last year he played with Michael Gallup, and with the Eagles he would be with Alshon Jeffery, despite the rumors of his departure.
Slater then brings up how Eagles officials have been clamoring for the team to pick up a wide receiver at the NFL Combine. Cooper would fit their needs, no doubt about that.
The Cowboys want to retain Cooper, but he's going to want a monster contract and the team still needs to pay Prescott. Could Cooper end up switching NFC East sides and join Philly? That'd certainly be something.
