NFL Not Suspending Patriots CB Jonathan Jones for Hit on Josh Allen is Completely Senseless

Leave it to the NFL to make another bone-headed decision. Why, they never do that...

In Sunday's win over the Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots cornerback Jonathan Jones stole headlines for a dirty hit on quarterback Josh Allen. After Jones lowered his shoulder and went helmet-to-helmet on Allen, the Bills QB left the game and is now in the concussion protocol. He missed the rest of the game and the Bills could've used him on a few drives where they had a chance to win.

Surely a suspension is coming for Jones?

Nope, nothing.

While Jones is getting off scot-free, Raiders linebacker Vontaze Burfict is facing a season-long suspension for his shameless play against the Colts over the weekend.

While Jones has come out and said he didn't try to nearly decapitate Allen, the damage has been done. Imagine if this kind of a hit was laid on Tom Brady? There'd be riots in the streets and Pats fans would be demanding for a lengthy suspension to be delivered. Yet, Jones is getting away with this?

Jones clearly feels terrible and will likely get fined for the hit, but let's be real; he should have been hit with at least a one-game suspension. It's a shame that's not happening.
