Saints Fans Should Officially Burn the World Down After NFL's Fiasco With Pass Interference Rule

New Orleans Saints fans are likely still bitter over the missed pass interference call in the 2018 NFC Championship Game. The Los Angeles Rams made the Super Bowl and the call was so bad the NFL decided to make pass interference reviewable in 2019.

That plan was executed about as poorly as it could have been last season. Calls were rarely overturned and fans lost even more faith in the officiating. In fact, the new rule was so terrible that the NFL is reportedly doing away with it in 2020. This was all for NOTHING.

So, basically, the NFL made a new rule to appease Saints fans and quiet their anger for about a year, only to go back to how things were before 2019. What happens if another pass interference call is blown in a big spot? Will review return the following season? And will they actually overturn any of them?!

Probably not!

The NFL is not exactly a proactive league and this is the latest example. Instead of figuring out how to fix blown calls, the league put a rule in place, barely enforced it, and removed it altogether after one season. No long-term changes were actually made and Saints fans have every right to complain about this at every turn.

Don't be surprised if the team unveils a Roger Goodell clown banner outside of the Superdome in response to this.
