The NFL Probably Won't Renew Reviewing Pass Interferences in Arguably Biggest Rule Failure Ever

After Nickell Robey-Coleman's infamous pass interference non-call in the 2018-19 NFC Championship game that robbed the New Orleans Saints of a Super Bowl appearance, the NFL allowed pass interference plays to be challenged.

The rule change, which proved to be extremely unpopular due to how it was implemented after just one season, is likely not coming back to 2020.

A recent survey found that most NFL teams were not in favor of the rule coming back, likely due to how little pass interference calls were overturned.

The idea was good, but the execution was terrible, which helped make this rule one of the most unpopular new additions of the 2019 season.

Saints fans huffed and puffed for an entire offseason, and all they got out of it was one unnecessary rule change that made games much more confusing and didn't even help in the pursuit of "getting things right" because of how little calls were overturned. We're not exactly sad to see this rule go by the boards.
