NFL Reportedly Set to Meet With Antonio Brown's Accuser Britney Taylor Next Week
By Scott Rogust
On the day his signing with the New England Patriots became official, Antonio Brown was accused of three instances sexual assault and rape that were filed by his former trainer and college peer, Britney Taylor, on Tuesday night.
Hours after the report surfaced, it was revealed that Taylor would meet with the NFL regarding her accusations against the star wideout.
On Wednesday night, ESPN's Josina Anderson reported that an official date was set for Taylor to meet with NFL officials. However, her source told her that the exact date will be kept private, though the meeting will occur at some point next week.
Britney Taylor is set to be married this week, which caused the meeting to be pushed back.
Anderson further reports that the plan is for Taylor to "submit or orate" a statement following her meeting with the NFL.
In her civil lawsuit, Taylor cited two incidents of sexual assault back in 2017 by Brown in Pittsburgh. Then in May 2018 while in the Miami area, Taylor alleged that Brown forced her onto a bed and raped her.
Shortly after the report surfaced, Brown and his legal team vehemently denied the allegations made by Taylor in a written statement on Tuesday night. Shortly afterwards, Anderson reported that Brown plans to countersue Taylor for civil extortion.
Even with these allegations made by Taylor, Antonio Brown participated in his first practice with the Patriots on Wednesday. His status for Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins remains up in the air.
