These days, it's hard to look at the news and not see Antonio Brown's name popping up. First it was him literally freezing his feet, and now it's HelmetGate (trademark pending).

Thankfully, people close to Brown and the NFL reportedly expect a resolution over his helmet problems to come sooner rather than later.

The problem rests with the helmet Brown typically uses being discontinued by Schutt in 2011. Since switching teams, Brown has been unable to get that helmet approved by the NFL, resulting in his threat to retire without his helmet.

A video from March of Brown explicitly saying he'd be more than willing to retire fully healthy is now making it more clear the Raiders might've made a mistake trading for him, especially given the countless off-the-field issues he's dealt with over the years.

It's unlikely Brown wins given the fact this particular helmet was discontinued almost 10 years ago. And if Brown does in fact retire, he'd lose $30 million in guaranteed money over the next two seasons.

That's insane. Just pick a helmet AB. This time fighting with the NFL would be better spent in camp getting used to a new helmet prior to the regular season.

Regardless of the outcome, "Hard Knocks" producers are jumping with joy over the recent sequence of events. Tuesday night should be fun to watch.
