NFL's Explanation for No Pass Interference on Jacob Hollister Will Infuriate Seahawks Fans

If you were mad before, Seahawks fans, wait until you hear what Senior VP of Officiating Al Riveron and the folks on Park Ave had to say about Sunday night's mess of a call in the Seattle-San Francisco game.

Remember when Jacob Hollister was clearly interfered with by 49ers linebacker Fred Warner in the final seconds of the fourth quarter? It was clear as day, yet no flag was thrown and the refs didn't even review the play. Well, per Riveron, the play actually "was" reviewed and the replay center deemed it was clean.

You have got to be kidding.

According to Riveron, who needs to set up an appointment with his optometrist immediately to get a new glasses prescription, Warner was trying to brace himself after Hollister ran into him.

Ladies and gentleman, I don't care if you're a Seahawks fans, 49ers fans, or even a Rams fan, but you can't watch this video and tell us Warner was trying to "brace himself" after Hollister ran into him. He's clearly grabbing him to prevent him from making a play on the ball.

While it's not a guarantee Seattle would have scored after the chains would have been moved, the Hawks would have had at least 2-3 chances to score from the one yard line.

Another major outcome, and in this case the NFC West title, was negatively affected by the incompetence of the officials. Riveron and Co. could have even admitted they made a mistake in this case, but made things worse by trying to defend this absurdity. It's embarrassing all across the board.
