NFL Suspends Seahawks WR Josh Gordon Indefinitely Again
By Thomas Carannante
If you were looking forward to seeing more of the Russell Wilson-Josh Gordon connection, you're going to be devastated with this development.
The Seattle Seahawks wide receiver, who was released by the New England Patriots earlier this year, has reportedly been suspended indefinitely by the NFL for violating the league's policies on performance-enhancing drugs AND substances of abuse.
Just a few hours after the Seahawks rose to the NFC's No. 1 seed, their balloon has once again been pricked.
Even though this marks yet another time Gordon's been suspended, this is shocking given he managed to violate two policies -- one of which he's been banned for on multiple instances in the past.
This leads many to believe the Patriots knew something was up after they released him with no explanation aside from a knee injury that wasn't expected to affect him beyond two weeks' time.
Gordon was picked up by the Seahawks shortly after the Pats set him free, but he missed three weeks of action. He never really managed to develop a rapport with Wilson either, as he's hauled in just seven catches for 139 yards in five games.
Once again, many are hoping Gordon gets the help he needs after his fifth suspension, because it's now beyond the point of concern.
