Nick Chubb and Jarvis Landry Highlight Pool of Competitors for Pro Bowl Skills Challenge
By Alex Coffman
Although the Cleveland Browns had another abysmal season, the emergence of Nick Chubb as a star running back in the NFL and Jarvis Landry having another strong year gives fans hope for the future.
Because of their constant explosiveness this season, Chubb and Landry have been chosen to participate in the 2020 Pro Bowl Skills Challenge.
The tandem will be joining a star-studded group, which includes Steelers safety Micah Fitzpatrick, Broncos eight-time Pro Bowler Von Miller, Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan and others.
Chubb was among the elite running backs in his second year with the Browns, rushing for almost 1,500 yards on 298 carries and scoring 8 touchdowns this season. He ranked second in most rushing yards only behind Derrick Henry.
Landry also ranked in the top 10 for most receiving yards in the league, hauling in 83 balls for 1,174 yards. The LSU product continued to shine and looked even better next to his struggling teammate Odell Beckham Jr. this season, a duo that was supposed to destroy NFL secondaries for the foreseeable future.
Despite the disappointment of a rough 2019 campaign, we'll see if Chubb and Landry can put on a show once in the Skills Challenge.
