Auburn continues to stack its defensive line as they wrap up their 2020 recruiting class. On Sunday, the program rceived a major commitment from four-star defensive end recruit Deandre Butler, a JUCO prospect out of Independence Community College.

Butler's pledge marks the Tigers' third four-star defensive lineman commit for this year's class. Back in November, they landed incoming freshmen Jay Hardy and Zykeivous Walker, not to mention that they've also already clinched a verbal commitment from five-star defensive line recruit Hunter Lee.

Now, the addition of Butler completes one of this year's best recruiting classes along the D-line for Gus Malzahn and Co.

Butler flew under most radars heading into this past season, but proved to be one of the most dominant players among the junior college ranks and the No. 1-rated JUCO defensive end. His performance was dominant enough to make him a top priority for a number of Power 5 programs, including Oklahoma, Oregon and even SEC rivals Tennessee and Ole Miss.

Ultimatly, Butler chose Auburn. His commitment makes the prospect of the Auburn defensive front a horrifying idea for SEC opponents in 2020 and beyond.

The program will be looking to these recruits to fill the void left by Derrick Brown, who is a projected early first-rounder in this year's NFL draft. Butler might just be the favorite of the bunch to live up to that pressure with some college experience already under his belt.
