It's safe to say that Thor is not a fan of Los Angeles Dodgers top prospect Dustin May, or at least that he's isn't on board with his nickname.
Dodgers fans have taken to anointing May "Gingergaard" given his long, flowing red hair and upper 90s sinker that mirrors that of New York Mets starter Noah Syndergaard. Rather than embrace the long-locked starter out west, Thor made his displeasure with the name known, calling it "stupid."
Syndergaard on Gingergaard: "That's just [stupid]. … I really don't care about an opposing pitcher."

Jeez, Noah. All you had to say was it's not for me.
May surrendered three earned runs in 5.2 innings in his MLB debut against the San Diego Padres last night. While May's stat line isn't super impressive, he was able to show off his hard sinker and nasty curveball, which already look like plus pitches at this level.

Sure, Gingergaard may not be the best nickname in the world, but May and his wicked arsenal of pitches are here to stay, so Syndergaard better get used to it.
