Noah Syndergaard Has Perfect Tweet in Response to Trade Rumors
By Scott Rogust
The New York Mets have been the talk of the MLB trade deadline on Thursday. Originally, the team was expected to move on from pitcher Zack Wheeler. Now, reports indicate the Mets plan to extend him and move ace Noah Syndergaard to another team.
Syndergaard, who has been no strangers to trade rumors, sent out the perfect tweet on Thursday night, making light of a potentially serious situation.
The GIF sums it all up.
Syndergaard has been linked to the San Diego Padres in previous years, but the Mets have remained steadfast in keeping him.
Now, with Wheeler having a strong season in 2019, New York reportedly feels like they could receive a larger haul for Syndergaard, to help bolster their farm system. Especially since the man known as "Thor" is under contract until after the 2021 season.
Teams like the Atlanta Braves, Houston Astros, New York Yankees and Philadelphia Phillies are all in the market for starting pitching, and would certainly give up prospects for a pitcher as talented as Syndergaard.
Noah Syndergaard is a New York Met...for now. It will remain to be seen if he's still in Queens after the July 31 deadline.
