Noah Syndergaard Trolls Himself About Recent Trade Rumors With Instagram Post
By Karl Rasmussen
There's a real chance the New York Mets will ship off Noah Syndergaard ahead of the July 31 trade deadline, and it seems as if Thor is no stranger to these rumors.
The hurler posted on Instagram and discussed being the subject of trade talks for the second time in just six months. Over the offseason, Thor's name popped up as a potential preseason trade target, but nothing materialized. Now, once again, he's back on the block.
Syndergaard looks pretty uneasy in the photo he shared on the social media platform, and it's hard to blame him. It's probably a pretty daunting feeling to know that at any point within the next three days, his whole life could be uprooted and he could be on the way to a new franchise.
The 26-year-old struggled in the first half of the season, but has flipped the switch early on in the second half. After posting a 4.68 ERA in his first 17 starts, his past three appearances have seen him log a 2.57 ERA with 25 strikeouts across 21 innings.
Virtually everything is uncertain for Thor at the moment. He could remain in Flushing, move cross-city to the Bronx and end up in pinstripes, or even be moving as far across the country as San Diego.
No wonder he's a bit worried about now, the trade block is a scary place to be.
