Noah Syndergaard Trolls Indians on Twitter After Mets and Tribe Both Miss Playoffs
By Adam Weinrib

Thor doesn't forget!
Noah Syndergaard and the Mets had a roller coaster season, one that ended short of the high expectations set by their fan base, but hardly a failure. Their fortunes changed midsummer, and though they didn't end up factoring into the postseason party, they certainly gave it their all...and derailed another team's season in the process.
The Cleveland Indians, once a heavy favorite to grab a Wild Card berth, in many ways saw their season derailed when they traveled to New York in late August, getting swept in a three-game set. At the time, those behind Cleveland's Twitter account tried to calm their fans down, calling the Mets a "fringe playoff team" in the process. It was weird? And now that both teams are spending October at home, Syndergaard decided to chirp back at 'em.
Oh and @Indians

Looks like we were both fringe playoff teams ?♂️
So, Syndergaard-Puig, tee time Monday? Who says no?
Honestly, it feels good to see Syndergaard reserve a little room in his season summation tweet just to further tweak some people who took unnecessary shots during the season.
Bad News: Missed playoffs by a few games. We learned a few things and took the lumps.

Good News: This is the best group of guys I’ve ever played with. We all love being a Met. We have a Rookie of the Year, will have a 2 time CY Young winner, and have a bunch of animals. ❄️???
There's a lot to like about the direction the Mets are headed. Thor can now add "Won an Off-Field Feud With a Rival" to that list, too.
