North Carolina Tar Heels Stars Luke Maye and Kenny Williams Sign With NBA Teams Day After 2019 Draft
By Parker White

Sometimes the best moves an NBA team makes regarding draft season are the undrafted free agents they snatch up during the 24 hours afterwards. The NBA champion Toronto Raptors didn't have a single lottery pick on their team, and Fred VanVleet, their clutch shooting star was, you guessed it, not drafted.
On Friday, the Milwaukee Bucks may have just added one of the more underrated players available, as they ended up signing North Carolina Tar Heels forward Luke Maye.
If Luke's college trajectory is any indication, Milwaukee got a good one! Luuuuuuke has signed with the @Bucks. #CarolinaSZN | #NBADraft | @luke_maye pic.twitter.com/8mRkf9AdgR

During his senior campaign at UNC, Maye averaged 14.9 points and 10.5 rebounds on 43% shooting from the field. He can stretch the floor and proved to be a big time rebounder during his illustrious career at North Carolina.
Maye wasn't the only Tar Heel to sign after not getting drafted. The San Antonio Spurs signed guard Kenny Williams, importing his elite shooting and defensive intensity into a system that prizes that skill (former Heel Danny Green, anyone?).
Team first attitude.

During his time at UNC, Williams was known to be a 3-and-D guy. In 36 games during his senior season, Williams averaged 8.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.5 assists on 39.9% shooting from the field.
Not a bad haul for either squad the day after the draft.
