The two worst teams in the Big Ten met up Sunday, as Nebraska and Northwestern played in Lincoln. The Wildcats came out victorious in an 81-76 game to improve to 7-21 and 2-16 in the conference this season. The Cornhuskers fell to 7-22 and are tied at the bottom with a 2-16 conference record as well.

Neither team did anything to pull away in the game that went to overtime. The box score showed just how much of a disaster the game was all afternoon.

Nebraska finished a whopping 8-of-30 from the free-throw line in the six-point loss. How does that happen?

Fred Hoiberg is having a rough start at his new program, and the free-throw shooting is likely enough for him to question his decision to take the job. Just a few more made free throws would have given Nebraska its first win since January 7.

How did NU let this even get to OT?!

The Big Ten may get the most teams into the NCAA Tournament of any conference. That feat obviously excludes Northwestern and Nebraska, as the two fight for the last spot in the basement of the Big Ten. No postseason play means plenty of time to practice those free throws.
