Notre Dame CB Signee Arrested in Kentucky for Allegedly Stealing Guns

Concerning news for the 2020 recruiting class has arrived for Notre Dame and head coach Brian Kelly. In December, the Fighting Irish beat out plenty of other teams to land the signature of touted cornerback Landen Bartleson.
His National Letter of Intent arriving to South Bend was supposed to mark the start of his ND career, but with the latest development, who knows if he'll ever make it to campus. That's because the 6-foot-1, 180-pounder was arrested in Danville, Kentucky, after allegedly being part of a small group that stole nine guns from a gun store.

Per the police report, the suspects, which of course includes the ND signee, smashed a window of the store to steal the weapons. To make matters worse for Bartleson, he and the other two young men he was with are also linked to a car theft.
A 3-star cornerback, Bartleson signed with Notre Dame to start his college days next season over additional offers from Michigan, Colorado, Kentucky, Louisville and others.
Bartleson, 18, and two unidentified 16-year-old juveniles were taken into custody Friday by Danville (Ky.) police and are accused of breaking into a Boyle County business and stealing several guns, per the report.https://t.co/FIG6bEabZg

Irish fans will have to wait and see if the defensive back ends up making his way to campus, but right now, things surely don't look good for his status with the program.
