Odell Beckham Jr. Reportedly Told Steelers to ‘Come Get Him’
By Michael Luciano
Not only does Cleveland Browns receiver Odell Beckham Jr. want out of Northeast Ohio, but he could force a trade to Cleveland's most hated rival. Oh, the drama.
According to NFL Network's Adita Kinkhabwala, Beckham told players on the Pittsburgh Steelers to "come get him" after the Browns were taken down by Devlin Hodges and company a few weeks ago. If true, that would bring the list of teams Beckham has openly expressed his desire to get traded to up to four.
Beckham has caught 67 passes for 910 yards and just two touchdowns in his first, and likely only, season with the Browns, as his per-game numbers have dropped dramatically despite playing with an offensive head coach in Freddie Kitchens and Baker Mayfield at quarterback.
Beckham is not the only Brown who wants out, as Jarvis Landry and a host of other Browns were heard telling the Arizona Cardinals sideline to "come get" them, the same statement Beckham has supposedly been telling just about every team he's played against.
The Beckham experiment has been a massive failure, and every day that he remains a Brown only prolongs the inevitable. At this rate, it seems almost impossible that Beckham will be back in Cleveland in 2020.
